Grilling a turkey breast is a great way to make a delicious and healthy meal. Using an apricot marinade adds a fruity sweetness to the turkey that the whole family will love.
To make this delicious dish, you will need the following ingredients:
For the Marinade:
– 2 tablespoons of apricot preserves or jam
– 2 tablespoons of honey
– 2 tablespoons of olive oil
– 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard
– 2 cloves of garlic, minced
– 1 teaspoon of salt
– 1 teaspoon of black pepper
– 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
For the Turkey Breast:
– 2-3 pound boneless, skinless turkey breast
– 1 tablespoon of butter
– 1 tablespoon of olive oil
To make the marinade, combine the apricot preserves, honey, olive oil, Dijon mustard, garlic, salt, pepper, and thyme in a bowl and mix until everything is combined.
Next, place the turkey breast in a large resealable bag and pour the marinade over the top. Seal the bag and massage the marinade into the turkey. Place the bag in the refrigerator and let marinate for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
When ready to cook, preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Remove the turkey from the bag and discard the marinade. Pat the turkey dry with paper towels.
Melt the butter and olive oil together in a small bowl and brush the turkey with the mixture. Place the turkey on the grill and cook for about 10 minutes on each side, or until the turkey reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
Once the turkey is cooked through, place it on a cutting board and let it rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing. Serve the turkey with a side of your favorite vegetables and enjoy!
